Dawn Thompson has passed away…
“Your writing has to come first. You have to be willing to make sacrifices for your craft, to court your Muse, and to perservere no matter what it takes, with a cheerful, determined heart that never gives up on your dream.” -Dawn Thompson
My mentor and friend, author Dawn Thompson, passed away on Friday afternoon. Terrible news.

I’m so sorry to hear that. My thoughts and prayers are with her family she was a great author.

Thanks, Sarai. She was a wonderful person, an eloquent writer. I was lucky to get to know her through my chapter…she encouraged me to keep writing and to submit to Dorchester. I will miss her very much.

Hey, Brit –
I really was lucky…Dawn had such a way about her. She was always so kind and cheerful — she lived that quote of hers. I was fortunate to see her in action — you can learn a lot from watching somebody being the kind of person you’d like to become. I first met her at my local meetings, before I’d published anywhere, and she was and always will be an inspiration
